About Cheu Fishtown

Fans of Cheu Noodle, the famed noodle bar on 10th Street in Washington Square West, can celebrate the addition of Cheu Fishtown in the riverwards.

Opened in 2017 in what use to be stables for fire horses (or more recently, a bike shop) – the location underwent significant renovations before it was capable of serving food and drink. But the wait was worth it and the building is phenomenal with stunning brickwork and vaulted ceilings inside.

Immediately to the right is the bar, capable of seating 10 or 12 people, and making efficient use of the space by adding extra seats. The building itself, while tall, is not wide by any stretch of the imagination.

To the left are tables, with bench-style seating against the wall (another space-saving layout technique). Overhead is a large, marquee-style drink menu that, if nothing else, grabs your attention, and those of passersby.

The noodles themselves are, of course, fantastic and the menu rivals that of the original location (though it may be slightly reduced). Recently completed is a small outdoor patio for dining outside on favorable weather days.
